Hi. I'd like to start building something using the OE player. I cloned the repo (ideum/open-exhibits-player).
Then with Flash Pro, created a new Air app. I set the "src" directory to be a path in the app and set the class to OpenExhibits. When I build the project, I get this error:
1120: Access of undefined property onInvoke
which s coming from this line:
It must be something in my paths? A library I'm not linking? I've been trying for hours to get past this and no luck. Any tips would be much appreciated.
I'm on a mac if that helps.
The player is currently out of date so we suggest using one of the supported flash development environments to get started. See the related post.
You're saying that this project https://github.com/ideum/open-exhibits-player is not compatible with recent versions of Flash? I So I should find an IDE that supports Flash 7? (Flash CC, 2014 only goes down to 10.3)
Thanks for your help,
No, I am saying the OE Player is not compliant with the latest OE version. Please read my response to the related post (link) I embedded in first response. It explains that the player is simply a standalone tool for viewing exclusive CML declared applications but is not required to use our SDK. Using an IDE is the more powerful and recommended alternative to the player. We will update the player before the next release and you can choose to use it with the latest compatible version of OE but you will be missing out recent enhancements to the framework.
