I'm new to OE, many thanks to the great efforts from your team, this OE platform looks very exciting!
I'm very keen to give it a try of the "Arduino Module" for educational purposes. But I need help for couple of errors. I'm using FlashPro5.5, and created a .fla file to fire up the Main.as in the "code" folder. When I run the flash file, the following message show up:
/Users/jiawang/ArduinoModule/code/src/com/gestureworks/cml/element/ImageSlideshow2.as, Line 36 1024: Overriding a function that is not marked for override.
Looking forward to your suggestions! Thanks Again!
We would need to see your code to help further diagnose, specifically what you've written for your ImageSlideshow2.as file to see where and why it's overriding something.
Thanks for your reply! The interesting thing is I haven't got a chance to touch the ImageSlideshow2.as file or any other files in your package yet. Do I have to allocate the package folder under any certain directory? Or do you think there is anything to do with my OS 10.7.5? Also, I'm using Flash pro cs5.5?
The file is in the Arduino download package:
Try that path again:
I too am attempting to use the Arduino Module in order to read RFID tags to trigger events in OE. I've purchased the equipment defined in the help page and ran some of the tutorial projects using FlashDevelop, however when I try to run the Arduino Module I get a number of errors. I haven't yet customized it, so this is just the default code. so of the errors include "The definition of base class ImageSlideshow was not found", "The definition of base class Container was not found" etc. I'm sure I'm just missing a step, I've added the GestureWorksCML and GML to the library.
Unfortunately, the Arduino Module has been legacy for over 4 years and is not compliant with the latest Open Exhibits SDK. In fact, the framework itself is no longer in development and is being staged for discontinuation which is why we have released the source on github (CML and GML). If you still want to pursue the module as an option, you will need to make it work with the latest version of OE. I can provide feedback on inquiries related to the latest version but we no longer have the resources to dedicate to legacy support.
