I have recently downloaded and begun using OE Player 1.1 and several of the Open Exhibit exhibits at the museum I work at. I started the tutorial for using OE Player 1.1, but every time I try to open a file, I just get a black screen. I have downloaded the player on both an exhibit kiosk computer and my personal computer, but with the same results. I am running Windows 7 (64 bit) on the computer.
So far the only exhibit I have been able to customize and get to work is the Museum timeline, because the download included a finished application file. Every other attempt has led to nothing. Any help would be appreciated!
I took a look at the other post on this topic from a few months ago, but it didn't really address all of my problems.
Have you tried building the OE player if FlashDevelop with the most recent libraries?
No I haven't. What exactly do I need to do in order to make that work? I have FlashDevelop and have been trying to go through the tutorials on how to use it, but I keep getting an error message when I go to test a project telling me that I do not have a valid SDK.
I have now resolved the SDK issue it was giving me earlier. So what do I need to do to build the OE player in Flash Develop?
I'm having a similar issue, I know the CML is correct and it's not an SDK issue. I'm not sure what it means here by "building the OE in FlashDevelop." If someone could explain that would be awesome!
Please see the last comment in this forum post for the current state of the OE Player.
