I am working to customize the NSF in Antarctica exhibit. I added in my own images and started to work on editing the cml. When I tried to save the cml file it said my access denied. Why?
As I mentioned in your previous post, we do not enforce edit restrictions on any of our project files. If you are using Windows 8, chances are it is a permissions issue with writing to your Program Files directory. You can verify this by attempting to edit other files in that directory. If this is the case, you will need to update your write permissions or simply move the installation folder to a directory that isn't read only.
I must caution you, before proceeding with NSF in Antarctica, it is one of several downloadable exhibits that is considered legacy (not compatible with recent Open Exhibits versions). Though we still provide them for users to externally edit, we will not provide code level support for any of the following:
-Climate Change Miami
-NSF in Antarctica
I recommend you look at our examples repo on github for a more comprehensive and up to date set of examples.
