I'm just starting out with open exhibits using Flash Professional. I'm trying to complete the tutorial at http://wiki.gestureworks.com/index.php/GestureWorksFlash:Flash1. This is the very first tutorial on Adobe Flash Pro development environment set-up .I'm trying to run the "Hello World" example, with the following ActionScript3 "Main" Class file:

When I do, I get the following output error:

I've googled error # 2044 and tried some remedies without success. Open exhibits and Gestureworks look very promising, and I'm trying to get out of the starting gate. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
The application can't find the specified GML file at path bin/gestures.gml. This file is required to initialize GestureWorks Flash. You can clone a working version of the tutorial here. Also, something not specified, in order to see the text you will need to set the color of the text to something other than the background color.

Thanks for your promptness, Shaun. Forgive my ignorance, but I don't know what you mean by "clone" in this context. I downloaded "gestures.gml" from GitHub and put it in my "bin" directory, but now I get the following output error:
TypeError: Error #1090: XML parser failure: element is malformed.
Please explain in very basic terms what you actually wanted me to do at GitHub.
Assuming you have a GitHub client, cloning essentially means saving the repository on your machine. If you don't have a GitHub client or are unfamiliar with GitHub, go to the tutorials repository and download the zip file (through the "Download ZIP" button. This will provide you with all of the tutorial files and their project configurations. Note all tutorials, aside from the ones in "Development Environment Setup", are FlashDevelop projects but are easy to duplicate in any IDE. Once you have extracted the zip file, navigate to the [gestureworks-flash-tutorials-master\01. Development Environment Setup\01. Flash] directory and double click the .fla to launch the project in Flash Pro. Follow the instruction provided in the tutorial to relink the project to your GW libraries (.swc files). I followed the above steps exactly with the latest release (4.1.0) to verify and the project ran as expected for me. I am not sure why providing the GML file in the referenced directory produced another error. I can only guess it is something with your setup so grabbing the actual tutorial files should take care of it. Let me know if you still have issues after trying the above.
